Ader elected new Hungarian president

János Áder was chosen Hungarian president following the resignation of Pál Schmitt last month. Áder has been a member of Parliament and one of the earliest leader of FIDESZ since economic reforms began in 1989. From 1998 to 2002 he was the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary and in 2009 he became a member of the European Parliament
On 16, April he was appointed as a FIDESZ candidate to become President of Hungary and he was chosen on 2, May with 262 votes for and 40 against. The two left wing parties, MSZP and DK were not present at the election. The LMP club was there, but its members abstained.
