Ramsey, NJ-based ADMA Biologics, has acquired a plasma production facility in Boca Raton in a $20 million deal. The facility at 5800 and 5900 Park of Commerce Blvd., totals 126,439 square feet on approximately 15 acres. As part of the transaction ADMA paid $27.5 million for both the Biotest therapy business unit in Boca Raton and the two FDA licenses for related products, Nabi-HB to treat Hepatitis B and BIVIGAM for immune globulin intravenous treatment. The facility processes plasma from donated blood to use in biopharmaceutical products. The buildings last traded in 2007 when German-based Biotest bought them for $30.3 million. “We look forward to having the opportunity to generate accretive revenues through the assets acquired, as well as leveraging our industry expertise to drive further product utilization and market penetration,” ADMA Biologics President and CEO Adam Grossman said.
