Adriatic Marinas, which operates Porto Montenegro, and Damen Group, bought part of the infrastructure at the shipyard in Bijela. The price of the deal was not disclosed. The companies will oversee the overhaul of the area in an investment that could hit €20m in the next three years, according to Montenegrin Prime Minister Duško Marković. Adriatic Marinas and Damen, which is based in the Netherlands, will use part of the shipyard’s port, 25,000 sqm in buildings and 108,000 sqm of land. The Bijela shipyard entered bankruptcy proceedings two years ago after accumulating €6m in debt.
