Fintech giant Adyen is taking over space on Rokin street in Amsterdam that was occupied by Hudson’s Bay until last December, when it pulled out of the Netherlands. Adyen’s CFO Ingo Uytdehaage said the company’s challenge is to grow and that the coronavirus pandemic hadn’t changed anything in this regards. The company was looking for a prominent, visible location, he said, leading to the choice of the building on Rokin. The exact layout of the 17,000 sqm is still being worked out. But Adyen intends to set up a pop-up store on the ground floor that would be occupied by Adyen customers for a few months at a time. The building should be partially ready for occupancy by the end of this year.
