AEW Europe bought a logistics park developed by Panattoni Europe near the Prague airport on R6 motorway. AEW acquired the park through its Logistis fund and paid €150m for it. The park offers 255,000 sqm of leasable space, of which 125,000 sqm is a giant warehouse pre-leased exclusively to Amazon. Amazon’s distribution center is scheduled for completion this summer. The building, a part of Amazon’s European Fulfilment Network, is environmentally friendly and hopes to secure a BREEAM Very Good certificate. The remaining 130,000 sqm of space in the park is divided into seven logistic warehouses, of which four, totaling 102,000 sqm, are for lease. Three are built-to-suit developments. This is the first acquisition by Logistis in the Czech Republic and was enabled by a capital increase of €834m.
