AEW Europe completed the acquisition of an eight retail properties in Germany for €56.3m. The 55,000 sqm package includes retail parks in Magdeburg, Bad Staffelstein, Mühldorf am Inn, Schwalmstadt-Treysa and Herborn, as well as a retail property in Bischoffen, a home improvement store in Herton and a shopping center in Schwelm. The portfolio produces an annual rental income of €5.1m and is anchored by strong retail tenants, including Edeka, Rewe, DM, C&A, Lidl and Aldi. AEW Europe is working with its local partner, Kintyre, to source and structure investments in Germany. The two companies co-invested in this latest transaction.
