AFI accelerating works on Butterfly in Prague Karlin

CBRE have won an exclusive contract to lease office space in Butterfly, a 23,000 sqm office project currently in early groundwork stages by the developer AFI. The project, scheduled for completion in the last quarter of 2017, is being built between Pernerova and Korybudova streets in Karlín – Prague 8. The district has become an important business center over the last few years. According to a research by CBRE, 49 new lease agreements for modern office space were closed last year in Karlín, compared to 51 transactions in the city center, with 201 companies choosing Karlín to locate in the new offices from 2011 to 2015. The difficulty of developing in Prague’s city center has led to the creation of multiple alternative office centers, including the Pankrác and Budějovická district (Prague 4), in Smíchov (Prague 5) and in Nové Butovice at the edge of Prague 5 and Prague 13.
