The developer of AFI City, a 15-hectare brownfield in the Vysočany district of Prague, has completed work on a 7,500 sqm park that was promised to the district during the planning process. The residential portion of the project has already been completed with 500 new apartments and a new office building set for completion this fall. The new park is made up primarily of green areas with a mix of trees and shrubs and has paths running throughout the space connecting playgrounds for children, benches and picnic tables for use by the public. The developer, AFI Europe, is planning to set up a garden restaurant in the space and choose an operator to run it sometime in the future. The design of the park (and of the entire AFI City scheme) was provided by CMC architects.
