NYSE-listed REIT Aimco has submitted plans for the redevelopment of the Yacht Club at Brickell rental complex. The plans call for a new 61-story, 690-foot apartment building with a 961 space parking garage. The existing 32-story rental tower will be redeveloped for hotel/residential/retail use. The Yacht Club at Brickell tower, which currently has 358 units, will be redeveloped with 178 residential units and 250 hotel rooms. The new 61-story north tower will have 572 units. The name for the new scheme will be 1111 Brickell, which was designed by architecture firm Stantec.
