Airbus will open a new plant in Plovdiv. According to the French ambassador, quoted by Novinite, the factory will be operating by the end of 2017. The plant, located in the Trakia Economic Zone, will produce aircraft insulation materials and sealants. The next step is to actually buy the plot and start construction.
The industrial zone Trakia attracted numerous companies this year, including the manufacturer of steering and drive technology Willi Elbe Automotive Bulgaria, the Chinese bus building company Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co, Equipment manufacturer Liebherr, Sensata Technologies, and the lighting equipment manufacturer Osram.
