Alfa Technics opened a new 8,000 sqm factory in Svilajnac, central Serbia. The Serbian government contributed €600,000 toward the €5.5m investment. Alfa Technics currently employs just over 200 people in the country but plans to double its workforce in the coming years. More than 80 percent of production at the Svilajnac factory will be for export. The Serbian company designs and produces logistics systems for airports around the world in cooperation with Thyssenkrupp Airport Systems. Alfa Technics also works in partnership with Duen Assembly Products.
