Alibaba Group may open a new distribution center in Cheb in the Western Bohemia. The Chinese e-commerce giant is considering setting up its operations at the Dolní Dvory industrial zone, managed by Accolade, where it would employ 100 people.
The server idnes.cz writes that Alibaba is reportedly considering establishing a European data center in the Czech Republic. Neither CzechInvest nor Accolade were willing to comment on the potential investment, according to idnes.cz. Pavel Hojda, Cheb’s deputy mayor, told the server that the Chinese e-shop may decide to relocate from Frankfurt, because Cheb offers better transport access and lower costs.
