Alza.cz is in advanced negotiations with Prologis to lease warehouse space at the developer’s park in Úžice, just outside Prague on the D8 motorway. The Czech e-retailer’s spokeswoman, Šárka Jakoubková, told the server e15 that Alza needs to expand its storage capacity by 40,000 sqm. The company currently leases 14,000 sqm in the Horní Počernice logistics area, which PointPark Properties recently bought from Tristan. Jakoubková said that the company is going to keep its space there and take on 25,000 sqm at Prologis’ park in Úžice. Alza plans to continue looking for additional spaces to lease.
Mall.cz, another Czech e-retailer, is also looking to expand. Mall leases 15,000 sqm at Horní Počernice and is looking for an additional 30,000 sqm to 50,000 sqm.
