Alza.cz will be opening a new call center in the town of Třinec which will create dozens of new jobs. The investment is part of the company’s expansion plans which it says will require improved customer care. It chose the town, which is located southeast of Ostrava, because of its access to available labor as well as its proximity to three national borders. Alza currently employs over 100 call center operators who work out of its headquarters in Prague 7 to service clients from Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. They took 747,000 calls last year, a 40 percent increase over 2017.
