Amazon to build another center for returned goods in Prague

18 August 2015

A front-page story in Hospodářské noviny has ended vague speculation about Amazon’s plans for a new warehouse around Prague. The newspaper claims the American online giant is planning to build a new center for returned goods in P3’s Prague Horní Počernice park. However, neither Amazon nor the developer have confirmed the news. Tomáš Míček, director of P3 Czech Republic, would only say that the developer been offering the space to a variety of online retailers. Quoting an anonymous industry source, the daily claims Amazon is planning to hire 3,000 new employees for the location. In September, Amazon will open its new distribution center in Dobrovíz, just outside Prague. The center, developed by Panattoni, will serve the German and Austrian markets.
