American Water Works Company has broke ground on its new headquarters at One Water Street on The Camden Waterfront in Philadelphia. With an anticipated completion date of late 2018, the five-story, 220,000 sqf facility will house more than 600 employees, consolidating four different locations in southern New Jersey. Robert A.M. Stern Architects has been tapped as the projects architect with Gensler designing the interior of the building.
American Water is the largest and most geographically diverse U.S. publicly traded water and wastewater utility company, employing more than 6,700, providing water to customers in 47 states and Ontario.
