ANA Hotels has started an investment of EUR 25 million in the renovation of the Athenee Palace Hilton hotel in Bucharest, this being the fourth major renovation in the history of the building, according to the company. The financial capital that the company invests in the rehabilitation and renovation of the hotel comes both from its own sources and from a loan contracted from BRD – Groupe Societe Generale.
The hotel modernization project takes place in two stages: the first has already started and includes the renovation of the 132 rooms of the “New Wing”, and the second aims to rehabilitate the facade of the hotel and the rooms in the “Old Wing”. Throughout this period, the hotel remains open offering accommodation services in the wing that is not being rehabilitated and in the public spaces on the ground floor, restaurants, terrace and event rooms.
