After receiving income statements for last year, the National Tax Administration Agency decided it will begin checks into large wealth for taxation purposes.
The checks will be run by a special tax body department whose personnel was limited at 50 positions. Control actions will be initiated based on a government decision in December 2010, providing that people whose real incomes exceed declared sums by at least RON 50,000 will pay a 16 percent tax.
The department who check people with great wealth was authorized by the Government but only in mid 2011, with an establishment plan limited to 50 positions, without being announced a date for when the checks begin.
