The Communications Regulatory Authority (ANCOM) has proposed to resume this year the tender for the acquisition of a building to be used as its headquarters, with the procedure to be completed in 2025. The amount budgeted for the future headquarters is RON 141.55 million including VAT.
“In 2021, ANCOM conducted an extensive process to identify a solution regarding the need for a space for the institution’s headquarters. Thus, a series of requests were sent to state institutions with a view to identifying a plot of land that could be transferred to ANCOM, under the terms of the law, and used by the institution to build a building for use as its headquarters. Since the response was negative, also in 2021, ANCOM visited buildings belonging to the Romanian State with a view to obtaining the right of administration if they met ANCOM’s rental needs. As a result of this action, no buildings were identified that corresponded to the institution’s needs,” it is revealed in the document.
