Only 1,600 apartments were completed last year in Bucharest and it represents the lowest level in the last eight years, says a report from real estate consultants Jones Lang LaSalle and Reas. But even in this context, new homes prices continue to fall.
In the first quarter of this year, new apartment prices fell by 4 percent. For the remainder of the year, JLL expects a slight increase in the apartment market.
Only a handful of developers are expected to launch major new projects, and some developers should enjoy stable sales levels, it says.
