Croatia registered the largest monthly fall in industrial production of any EU nation in April, although it was also among the member states with the biggest annual growths, according to the European Union’s statistical office Eurostat. Industrial production decreased by 2.8 percent in April after rising 3.9 percent in March. Y-o-y industrial production in Croatia in April 2016 increased 5 percent, placing among the leading member states alongside Slovakia with +7.2 percent, Poland with +5.9 percent, Slovenia with +5.3 percent and Hungary with +5.2 percent.
The report shows that the highest monthly increases in EU nations were registered in Ireland with +6.7 percent and Portugal with +6.4 percent, from the member states. The largest monthly decreases were registered in Croatia (-2.8 percent), Lithuania, (-2.7 percent), and Latvia (-2.0 percent).
