Arete Invest buys Prologis Park Nové Mesto

11 April 2017

Arete Invest has closed its second acquisition in Slovakia, with the purchase of Prologis Park Nové Mesto, 100 km northeast of Bratislava. The price of the transaction was not disclosed. The deal comes shortly after the Czech property investment fund finalized its acquisition of a Grupo Antolin production plant in Žilina a few weeks ago. Robert Ides, co-founder of Arete Invest, says the fund will continue to look for opportunities in Slovakia that offer above-average yields. “Yields are slightly above the Czech levels, and Slovakia is a stabilized market,” he said. The sale was brokered by JLL. Prologis Park Nové Mesto is a distribution center consisting of two warehouses totaling 39,600 sqm of logistics space along with 16 ha of land for further development. The area is fully leased to C&A, Raben Logistics and Vetropak Nemšová on four-year contracts. Prologis CEE head Martin Polák says the developer offloaded the park as it wants to focus on its strategic locations in Bratislava and Nitra.
