Malte Schrötgens has been responsible for the Residential division of project developer, property investor and portfolio holder Art-Invest Real Estate since the beginning of the year. Art-Invest Real Estate currently holds over 1,600 residential units in its existing portfolio in Germany and Austria and successfully realised an exciting project in London in 2022 with 101 on Cleveland.
In recent years, Art-Invest Real Estate has already made various acquisitions via different investment vehicles in the residential segment. This asset class is now to be expanded further. In addition to the two current project developments in Quartier Neustadt in Dresden and Coloria in Erfurt, the portfolio includes further residential investments in Austria. There are also existing properties that are to be converted to create additional living space in the future.
Malte Schrötgens has worked in the transaction team at Art-Invest Real Estate for the past seven years, managing acquisitions and sales with a total volume of over EUR 4 billion. In his new role, he is now focussing holistically on the topic of residential property. This includes, in particular, the topics of acquisitions and asset management as well as the further development of the asset class.
“I am very much looking forward to this new task. The residential market has increasingly become the focus of investors in recent years and offers many new and exciting opportunities, even in the current tense market situation,” comments Malte Schrötgens, Senior Manager Residential.
“We are always pleased when employees from our own ranks are willing to take on new tasks and challenges. Malte Schrötgens has been an integral part of our transaction team in recent years and has successfully led numerous deals to completion. We are therefore delighted that he will be driving forward our activities in the residential sector and wish him every success in his new role,” commented Dr Markus Wiedenmann, CEO, and Dr Ferdinand Spies, COO at Art-Invest Real Estate.
