Aš in the Cheb region wants to offer residents new quality housing, is preparing several plots of land for the construction of family houses and new flats. According to the mayor Dalibor Blažek (Místní), the town hall registers an increased interest in building plots, it wants to offer them at discounted prices. The intention of the town hall of the city of thirteen thousand is also the construction of at least 90 flats for about CZK 150 million.
Aš’s plan is to attract new inhabitants, especially young families. The construction of eight building plots in Slunečná Street is now before implementation. The construction of roads and engineering networks will cost the city seven million crowns. The construction of land in the local part of Mokřina is also planned, where 15 plots should be created.
Another site being prepared is Tkalcovská Street, where it is planning nine building plots. The town hall wants to offer them this year. Construction work for about CZK 12 million should start a year later. The town hall wants to offer land for a discounted CZK 650 per square meter. According to the mayor, the offered amount will not cover the total costs, the city will also contribute to the construction within the support of housing construction.
This year, Aš will also offer 39 new flats. “We think it will be nice flats in nice locations. The flats will be for people who are low-income, such as single mothers, and for the people Aš needs, teachers, police officers, firefighters and paramedics,” said Blažek.
Several flats are being prepared by the town hall in the former Gustav Geipel Industrial School, which is now being renovated. Other apartments are being prepared in the former hostel in Nedbalova street. According to the project, 27 flats will be built here for less than 50 million crowns. The plan is to offer apartments for a good rent. The city currently owns less than 250 housing units.
