A new hospital with modern equipment and an oncology center was officially inaugurated in Panagyurishte, southern Bulgaria, last week. The investment amounts to over €47m, which was nearly twice the originally budgeted €28m. It’s the largest project in the field of Bulgarian healthcare for the past 25 years.
The investment involves the reconstruction of the existing hospital in Panagyurishte, including the creation of a new oncology center.
The high-tech medical complex was created on the basis of a public-private partnership between the municipality of Panagyurishte and the company Asarel and features dozens of doctors and medical specialists from the region.
