The Romanian insurance company Astra Asigurari opened an office in Bratislava, which will operate under the name Astra Poistovna.
The branch will initially focus on property and car insurance. Ondrej Zatko, a former sales manager at the Groupama insurance company, will oversee the Bratislava office. The company’s decision to expand to Slovakia is part of its strategic development plan.
Astra Asigurari opened its first branch outside of Romania in Hungary two years ago. Its Hungarian office operates under the name Astra Biztosito.
