Auchan will relocate offices

2 April 2015

Auchan opened a new hypermarket in Bucharest’s Drumul Taberei District last year. The €60m mixed-use project, developed on a 2.6 ha plot which used to house the Tricodava factory, includes a 10,500 sqm Auchan hypermarket, as well as a 9,500 sqm shopping arcade and a 10,000 sqm office building. Auchan will relocate 400 employees to the office building this month from the company’s central headquarters.

Auchan entered the Romanian market in 2006 when it opened its first hypermarket in Bucharest’s Titan district. The retailer currently has about 11,000 employees in Romania.
