The Hungarian subsidy of Audi started building a 80,000 sqm car body plant at its base in Győr. Audi Hungaria Motor already has a 75,000 sqm car body plant at the site that makes bodies for several car models. The Győr plant currently has the capacity to produce 160,000 cars a year. The cost of the expansion is estimated at HUF 32bn.
