The developer AV Florida Holdings has submitted plans to the Dunedin City Commission for a 90 room hotel project on Causeway Boulevard in Dunedin. The five story hotel will be erected on a vacant piece of land on Michael Place, a few blocks from the water and two miles east of Honeymoon Island State Park. The project must first receive approval from the Dunedin City Commission and Pinellas County, including a land use change from residential to resort. A decision on what brand the hotel will operate under has not yet been made.
