The average price of an apartment in Bucharest is about €1,000/sqm, according to a study by Re/Max Romania. Prices, however, vary significantly depending on location. In the north of Bucharest, for example, the average price per square meter stand at about €2,200. In the city’s Floreasca district prices range between €900 and €1,700/sqm, depending on the age of the building. In Titan and Berceni, prices are lower. Ranging between €700 and €850/sqm.
“Prices vary dramatically from one area to another depending on amenities such as access to transportation, proximity to parks or other areas of interest. Also, the year of construction of the building, as well as the finishes of the apartment impact the final value of the home,” said Madalina Vasile, broker and owner of Re/Max Properties.
