The average monthly gross wage in Hungary amounted to HUF 324,400 in the first half of the year, while the average net wage totaled HUF 215,700. Both grew by 11.9 percent y-o-y, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). An 8-percent increase in the minimum wage and a 12-percent increase in the guaranteed minimum wage impacted the growth, according to KSH data. Other factors included salary adjustments affecting specific areas of the public sector.
