Average paid employment in the Polish enterprise sector fell 1.2 percent y-o-y in September. Average gross wages and salaries, meanwhile, increased 5.6 percent y-o-y, amounting to PLN 5,371.56, according to data published by Statistics Poland. Restoring pre-pandemic full-time jobs in the enterprise sector was observed during September. This contributed to growth in average paid employment by 0.3 percent compared to August. In comparison to the same period last year, a decline in average paid employment was still visible (by 1.2 percent), but to a lesser extent than in the previous month, when it amounted to 1.5 percent, according to Statistics Poland.
