Average paid employment in the Polish enterprise sector fell 2.3 percent y-o-y in July, while average gross wages and salaries increased 3.8 percent y-o-y, amounting to PLN 5,381.65, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS). In July, restoring pre-pandemic full-time jobs as well as employees returning from care benefits, sickness benefits and unpaid leaves and resuming admissions in the units were factored into the monthly results. This translated into 1.1-percent m-o-m growth in average paid employment in the enterprise sector.
