Average paid employment in the Polish enterprise sector fell 3.3 percent y-o-y in June, while average gross wages and salaries increased 3.6 percent y-o-y, amounting to PLN 5,286, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS). In June, as in the previous month, further reduction of employment was observed in some entities. However, due to restoring pre-pandemic full-time jobs and resuming admissions, there was a slight 0.2-percent m-o-m increase in average paid employment in the enterprise sector. In April, the sector’s average paid employment decreased by 1.4 percent, according to GUS.
