The average gross monthly wage in Macedonia increased by 1 percent y-o-y in September, according to data published by the State Statistical Office. The average wage for the month was €530. The growth was driven by wage increases in a number of sectors including construction (9.6 percent), agriculture, forestry and fishing (7.2 percent) and information and communication (5.5 percent).
Wages decreased in mining and quarrying (3.3 percent), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (2.6 percent) and administrative and support service activities (1.9 percent).
