As part of its development strategy, AXA Real Estate Investment Managers is planning to redevelop more than half of the 60,000 sqm Prado office complex in Madrid it acquired in 2005. ACCIONA will oversee the redevelopment work. The landmark complex includes three buildings. The South and West buildings will be extensively redeveloped and offer 35,000 sqm of class A office space, plus an additional 6,000 sqm of underground parking and storage facilities. AXA Real Estate hopes to secure a BREEAM Excellent rating for its sustainable design.
