Baia Mare City Hall plans an investment of EUR 50 million, financed from European funds and from its own sources, for the construction of a technology park, in partnership with the Technical University of Cluj, as well as two industrial parks, West and Phoenix.
“We have launched two initiatives, respectively two decision projects, for the establishment of the West Industrial Park, a project that we want to extend to Maramures Airport and the second industrial park, designed on the old industrial area of the city, respectively the Phoenix area – Cuprom. On this area of approximately 5 hectares we will have a technology park also, which we will build with European funds, in the financing period 2021-2027, together with the Technical University of Cluj “, said Cătălin Cherecheş, mayor of Baia Mare.
Out of the total investment of EUR 50 million, the contribution of Baia Mare City Hall is approximately EUR 20 million.
