Forum Karlin is on sale, according to the daily Lidové noviny. It quotes a price of CZK 1.3bn and claims that the buyer has already been identified by the owner, Zdeněk Bakala. His spokesman Vladimir Bystrov wasn’t even denying the sale is underway. “Negotiations about the sale of the building are ongoing,” he said. “Until they are completed we can’t report any more details.” The complex, which comprises two buildings, was completed in 2014 in Prague’s 8th district neighborhood Karlin. It’s the headquarters of Bakala’s media empire but also offers an enormous multifunctional event hall along with six floors of offices.
