Balluff, which produces sensors that are used in automated industrial applications, opened a new plant in Cseteny, 80 km west of Budapest, where it will employ 80 people. The local council supported the HUF 650m investment with a HUF 200m state grant. Balluff Elektronika, the Hungarian division of the German company, will initially only use half the plant’s 1,600 sqm space with plans to gradually increase production by the end of the year.
