Bank BPH sold its investment company, BPH TFI, to Investors Holding in a deal worth PLN 170m. Through the acquisition, Investors Holding, which is owned by Investors TFI, expanded its market share by 5 percent. The private equity fund Arbis Capital co-financed the purchase.
“The financial sector in Poland has a great potential,” said Jakub Bartkiewicz of Arbis Capital. BPH TFI currently manages PLN 300bn in assets. “The deal makes us the leader among independent assets managers in the country, with home-capital,” said Bartkiewicz. According to the daily Puls Biznesu, Skarbiec TFI, Ipopema TFI, Quercus TFI, Opera TFI and Noble Fund TFI took part in the bid.
