30 June 2021

VGP, the developer and owner of semi-industrial and logistics real estate strengthened its staff by appointing Barbora Ryšava (37) as Plot Acquisition Manager. In the newly created position, she will be responsible primarily for identifying and securing suitable locations for future development, thereby contributing to the long-term expansion and growth of VGP’s portfolio.

“The coronavirus pandemic of the past year and a half has fundamentally increased the share of online shopping in retail markets, and that has brought with it growing demand from firms for logistics properties, both in the vicinity of large cities and also at locations outside of the main logistics hubs. We believe that VGP is well prepared for this, yet we continue to strengthen our position in the market. We therefore officially welcome Barbora Ryšavá to the team and wish her plenty of energy and much success in her work,” comments Matthias Sander, Chief Operating Officer in VGP for Central and Eastern Europe.

Barbora Ryšavá has been working in real estate for most of her professional life and can thus benefit from a total of 13 years of experience in the market. She has acquired experience in a number of major companies, such as IKEA Centers, where she was responsible for leasing the Czech portfolio of shopping centres, Ahold Czech Republic, where she was involved in the expansion of domestic Albert supermarkets and hypermarkets, and furthermore in AmRest, where for the past five years she has taken care for expanding the network in the Czech Republic of well-known brands from KFC and Burger King to Starbucks and Pizza Hut.
