Barceló Brno Palace hotel has been certified as a five-star hotel, the first in Brno. The 119 hotel met all the conditions for the rating, according to the Association of hotels and restaurants. Located in a refurbished historical palace on Šiligrovo square in Brno, the hotel opened in 2012 as a four-star superior hotel. Its general director, Gustavo Guidobono Zabala, says that the hotel’s clientele consists primarily of business tourists. The occupancy in five star hotel segment was above 60 percent in recent years, according to the Czech Statistics Office.
