Barclays Expands its Wealth and Investment Management Team in New York

Barclays announced today that it has hired four Investment Representatives who will be based in New York in the Wealth and Investment Management division. The new hires will report to Mark Stevenson, Managing Director and Regional Manager for New York.

Mark Leyton joins Barclays as a Managing Director from Deutsche Bank’s Private Wealth Management division. At Deutsche, Mr. Leyton focused on creating customized solutions for ultra high net worth individuals, corporate executives and professional investors. Prior to joining Deutsche in 2004, he advised high net worth clients at Salomon Smith Barney and Lehman Brothers.

Zach Shillingford, a Director, joins from Deutsche Bank’s Private Wealth Management division. Prior to joining Deutsche in 2005, he was an advisor to high net worth clients at Janney Montgomery.

Gannon McCaffery, a Vice President, joins Barclays from Deutsche Bank. In his previous role in Deutsche Bank’s U.S. Private Institutional Client Group, Mr. McCaffery offered capital market solutions to ultra high net worth clients and family offices. Prior to joining Deutsche in 2010, he worked for five years in the Investment Bank at Barclays where he focused on the structuring and distribution of fixed income products.

Darin Laub joins Barclays as a Vice President, after 13 years at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Mr. Laub was a financial advisor serving high net worth individuals and families. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he worked at Prudential Securities in the Private Client Group.
