Barclays announced the opening of its new office in Maidstone, Kent.
The new office, located at Tower View, West Malling, Maidstone, brings together the Corporate Banking and Wealth and Investment Management divisions of Barclays.
Six specialist sector Corporate Banking Relationship Directors will work alongside Private Bankers and Wealth Advisors to support businesses and clients in the region by offering a full range of banking, investment and wealth advisory solutions.
There are now approximately 170 Private Bankers across London and the South East, and the decision to base a dedicated Wealth and Investment Management team in Kings Hill reflects the area’s growing affluence: a report by Barclays in 2011 found that there are 287,000 millionaires in London and the South East, and this figure is set to rise by 35 per cent by 2020.
The Maidstone office supports the continued expansion of Barclays Corporate Banking and Wealth and Investment Management services across the UK regions, which includes new offices in Sheffield, Manchester, Cambridge, Norwich and Reading in the last two years.
