Cafes and restaurants opened in Austria having been closed 60 days ago due to pandemic restrictive measures. Catering facilities are now allowed to work from 6 am to 11 pm, but with the fulfillment of certain conditions, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. In cafes and restaurants, there will have to be a meter between tables, a measurement that will apply equally to outdoor sausage kiosks.
In addition, waiters, and staff who are in direct contact with guests, must wear masks or visors. Kitchen employees and others not in direct contact with guests aren’t obliged to wear masks. A maximum of four adults and children who are not from the same household can sit at one table. Despite concerns of a renewal of the pandemic, many restaurants are reporting they’d taken as many reservations as they had room for.
