Romanian president Traian Basescu, who survived an impeachment referendum last weekend, said his new focus is to eliminate the ideological, social and economical rift that has appeared in Romania, according to Mediafax press agency on Monday.
According to him, this a rift originates in June 13-16, 1990.
Basescu also said he wants to rebuild Romania’s credibility. In his opinion, Romania has one powerful enemy, the recession, and the country must focus on eliminating it.
