US medical tech manufacturer Becton Dickinson is planning to expand its syringe plant in Tatabánya, northwestern Hungary. Costs are estimated at HUF 34bn, which will be partially covered by a HUF 2.7bn grant from the Hungarian government. The expansion, including the installation of new production lines at the plant, is expected to create 219 jobs. Construction is scheduled to begin next year with completion set for 2020. The company currently has 700 employees in Tatabánya. Becton Dickinson Hungary posted HUF 17.6bn in sales revenue for the financial year ending on Sept. 30, 2015.
