Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic announced that the City of Belgrade will help restaurants and caterers overcome the coronavirus crisis by reducing the rents it charges them by 50 percent. This will at least provide some relief to restaurants lucky enough to have the city as its landlord.
Vesic added that he would intervene in favor of cafes in the Vracar municipality, which banned them from setting up shop on sidewalks and in parking lots. He pledged to submit a proposal at the City Assembly to this effect that would begin as of August 1.
