A new international passenger pier is set to go up along the Danube River in Belgrade’s Zemun district. The cost of the project is around €1.2m. The project contract was recently signed between Dejan Matic, the president of the municipality, the director of Beogradvode, Nenad Djindjic, and the director of port management, Vuk Perovic. The new pier is expected to increase tourism in Zemun, serving as a new port for European cruises along the Danube. The pier will go up next to Stara Kapetanija.
