Ben Bannatyne promoted to president of Europe for Prologis

Ben Bannatyne, managing director of Central Europe for Prologis, has been promoted to President of Europe as of the beginning of 2016. Bannatyne has been in charge of the company’s CE operations for seven years, overseeing its stabilization after the financial crisis and its eventual growth in the region. He will be moving to Amsterdam as of January, while his family will make the switch at the end of the school year. Bannatyne oversee all activities in Europe and will report to Prologis Europe and Asia CEO Gary E. Anderson, and will oversee all activities in Europe. Previous to his post at Prologis, Bannatyne was managing director of CEE for JLL. Bannatyne replaces Philip Dunne at the helm of the company’s European operations.

Ben Bannatyne’s replacement as MD for Central and Eastern Europe will be its senior vice president, Martin Polak. Since joining the company in 2008, he has progressed to become country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Martin Polak will be responsible for managing the Central and Eastern Europe portfolio, which comprises 4.4 million square meters of logistics and industrial space (as of 30 September 2015).
